Marbin Macalino is an illustrator and graphic artist from the Philippines.

Ever since he was young, he admired the artistry behind the cartoons he watched and the comic strips he read at the entertainment section of newspapers. He loved how these drawings could teleport him into different galaxies and worlds, even if he’s literally just sitting in his bed. This inspired him to create his own galaxies too. By sheer imagination, he learned how to draw. He used onion papers to trace his favorite characters. This simple artwork made him so happy and proud that he just knew that that was he wanted to do. He wanted to be a children's book illustrator who can bring inspiration to kids just like him who dreams of exploring new galaxies too.
 
He eventually took up BFA Advertising in the University of Santo Tomas to launch the rocket ship towards his dream. From then on, he never stopped fueling the ship’s engine. He graduated in 2018 and immediately started his career as an illustrator. He became a character animator in Toon City Animation Inc. In 2019, he ventured out of his comfort zone and worked as a Creative Designer in Thirty One Digital Solutions, Inc. Now, he works as a freelance illustrator for 3 years and is slowly building himself as an independent artist.
